After decades of routines, responsibilities, and raising families, we’ve decided it’s time for something different—something bold. We’re a couple in our early 60s, and rather than settling down, we’re setting off. Our next chapter? Full-time travel around this vast and beautiful country we call home: Australia.
This decision didn’t come overnight. It began as a dream, a few quiet conversations over coffee, and slowly turned into a plan we couldn’t ignore. With our sights set on freedom, discovery, and a simpler way of living, we’ve traded bricks and mortar for wheels and wide open skies.
Preparing for this journey meant more than just hooking up a caravan. It meant making choices about everything we own. What do we truly need? What can we live without? We sold the big stuff—furniture, appliances, anything that tied us down. We donated what could bless someone else, and carefully packed the essentials into our home on wheels. Every item in our caravan has a purpose (and probably more than one use!).
There’s excitement in the unknown and joy in the simplicity. We’re embracing a slower pace, seeking out new places, reconnecting with nature, and, most importantly, with each other. Australia is waiting—and we’re finally ready to explore it, one dusty track and seaside sunrise at a time.
